Yes. In order to find the north pole you would require a compass. This would lead you to the earth's magnetic pole at approximately Latitude 83/Longitude 115 on an ice pack in northwest Canada. Once at the Magnetic North Pole, you would actually be about 700kms (450 miles) south of True North (the geographical north pole) requiring you to travel further north to reach it.
And that leads us to the answer of yet another mind boggling question- is it possible to travel south to the North Pole? The answer, of course, is yes!

the thing about the north pole compared to the south pole is that the north pole is water, you have to trek on the glacier to get there, and the glacier is always moving so its tough to stay right on top of it for more than a little while, antartica though and the south pole is over land so you can stand right over that, once you were standing over the north pole you cant go any more north, north is just a word that refers to a bearing pointing to what we call the north pole, once your on the north pole you are at north, and you cant go north at all, you have to go south

If you are at the magnetic north pole (in North East Canada I believe) , you can still travel north to the geographic north pole.

A good trick question. The answer is yes -- jump straight up in the air and you are a couple of feet further 'north'!
