"Does this make me look fat?.." Do you really think we're going to be honest about this if it does indeed make you look fat? Also, while im at it, excatley how many damn shoes does one need?
Just got back from a fun filled day at the mall , I guess to be a fashion consultant and to buy more shoes..

Every girl loves shoes. Thats why we buy them all the time. We ask you if we look fat because we want to be reminded that we look great in everything (even if we don't). We don't think your going to be honest the full 100% but we want you to be. We need as many shoes as you need as many tools. How many damn tools do men need buy the way they keep buying more and more the same exact things too? How many hunting guns do you need? How many fishing poles do you need?How many fish hook things do you need? Men have more junk and everyone knows that. I hope i have made my point

I ask that all of the time but only to my girlfriends because I know they will be brutally honest with me and will have the fashion savvy to help me find something that compliments my body. I NEVER ask men this because they don't know what they are talking about. When I see women walking around in outfits in the mall looking like stuffed sausages and having overlapping guts coming out of the tight pants I see men still ogling them like they are hot because she may still have perfect breast/bottom or a stunning face. I've also seem men lust after flat-chested pancake-azzed women like Paris Hilton who's body looked like a 13 yr old boy's body. So I know men don't know what they are talking about. Maybe some women are asking men because what they really mean is "Do you think I'm beautiful" or "Do you think I look sexy" but they don't want to say it like that. Either way if I were a guy I would always say she looked Nicole Simpson thin and leave it at that...even if her body looked more like Rosanne Barr's. You are totally right. A man can not win in this situation. Again that's why I depend upon my girlfriends for fashion advice.

Well we want to feel confident about our look. So if our boyfriends are around shopping with us, why not ask them if we look good or not? You know that women are usually obsessed with their weight so it would be nice to hear that they're not fat.
As for the shoes, I don't have too many on my own but if I had much money, I'd buy like a pair every week. Shoes are cool.

We ask that because we want to look nice for our man. We want our man to appreciate us and tell us we look nice or are beautiful to them. So if they don't tell us, we always end up asking them "does this make me look fat." That way at least we get some kind of compliment. Cuz usually the guy would say "no." By the way, I'm not all that crazy about shoes. Just two or three pairs for me for many years is fine with me.

Don't even go there on the shoes, just back away from that subject and no one will get hurt...as for why she asks? You stopped telling her how great she looks at some point without having to be asked, thats what she wants.

As a 67 year old senion, I can honestly tell you that a woman is not asking if you think something makes her look fat... what she IS doing is giving you a passive aggressive chance to get out of your relationship... because you both KNOW that if you say "Hey... yeah... makes you look like a pig... he,he,he... what time does the blimp go up?"... then you will be sleeping in your car until you can find another woman to take you in.

She wants to know if she looks fat in something because she wants to look good for u.. u dont have to say Yes u look fat.. but if she doesnt look good in it.. u should say something like.. "im not crazy about the cut of those pants on u.. just makes u look unappealing" basically MASK the YES U LOOK FAT.. with something less hurtful but that will get her to choose something else..
As far as shoes.. i own 4 pairs.. but then im about as froogle as one can get.. and i like to buy things for others more then i do myself.. and i hate to shop lol..

Well, we don't all do it. I have (a) never insisted past boyfriends or my now husband ever go clothes shopping with me; and (b) I have never asked if I look fat in an outfit. I wouldn't want to know the truth so I don't ask.

Always tell her what will make her feel beautiful! She asks because she is insecure and needs "strokes".
Actually, a woman's amount of shoes depends on her lifestyle.
People who have to make public appearances and wear more
outfits, especailly in fashionable industries, need color coordinated wear, not just your "basic" black and brown pumps.
Basics? Black pumps go with everything, Crosstraining sneakers for sports, sandles for summmer, boots for winter,
slippers if you like to wear them.
After that , its all about vanity. lol. and making yourself feel so damn attractive

a girl askes if she loks fat because xshe want s you to say she doesnt even though she knows she is, she just wasnts to hear she doesnt look fat. and even though i am a girl i have no idea why people have so many shoes.
