Living a high risk lifestyle like he did something is bound to happen sooner of later. He knew what he was doing how they would react towards him but no matter how good you are things do go wrong. I think he underestimated how the stingray would react to him then it was too late.

I think the animal felt threatened in some way because animals, especially sting rays, typically don't just attack or show aggression without cause. I think it is plausible that either the camera man or Steve or someone else or the presence of all of the crew aggravated the animal and it was protecting itself.
Since only 3 - 17 people in recorded history have been killed by a sting ray and most of those were from stepping on them, yes, this was a freak accident. If the barb went into Steve's heart, I would think he was either touching it or very close to it. I don't know that sting rays do "drive-by" barbing.
Whatever happened it is tragic and has many in the world sad.

Just bad luck stingrays are usually pretty docile, however you didnt think Steve Irwin was going to die a 90 in his bed did you? He did take risks, but he died doind what he loved. It's kind of like working with Lions all your life and being killed by a house cat.

From what I understand the Stingray was frightened and defended itself. I think it was just a case of bad luck. I also find it ironic that a man with such a big heart for wildlife was pierced in the heart by a barb. Steve will be greatly missed by ppl all over the world.

ok we've a pair of subjects right here. i'm going first of all the single that is of often happening relevance on your questions headline. You look to point which you relatively choose to kill your self as a potential to sparkling up a perceived problem of "being a burden". enable's assume which you're a burden (maximum all human beings is to a pair quantity). Now you think of that in case you have been ineffective that this would no longer be a burden for you kinfolk? perhaps for you there would no longer be any burdens. yet for those you pass away at the back of they might grieve for you something of there lives. to no longer point out it would be costly for them to shelter the funeral preparations. Now enable's learn your different subjects. you're "awkward" ? it relatively is to be expected, fairly from a teenager. yet would I furnish you this attention...what does it even mean to no longer be awkward? i assume you will desire to have confidence that there is a few optimal character which you would be able to even have, and that in case you have that character that each and everybody socialization will substitute into hassle-free, to boot which you will be with none insecurities. properly that's no longer very sensible? you will desire to evaluate that suicide is everlasting and irreversible. And that your situations, as you have defined them, at the instant are not everlasting contained in the sense that they are irreversible. the main ingredient approximately changing is to have sensible expectancies. you could substitute. yet no longer all of sudden and not without set backs and lapses. in case you assume to return to a determination to alter sooner or later, and then as quickly as you fall back into an previous habit you count variety that as failure. then you definately are precise...it extremely is ineffective. you will desire to make progression incremental...and count variety the success to boot by using fact the failure whilst gauging that progression.

It sucks the way this man died. I believe that he provoked the sting ray. Just my opinion.. I've swam with stingrays and sharks before, with no problems as long as you keep your distance.

Of course he provoked it. Just like he provoked snakes and crocodiles. He probably wanted to get some stinger action on camera.
