If you are killing an animal so you can wear it's skin, yes, that's wrong. If you are supporting humane procedures and using all of the animal with respect, then no. And as for PETA, I cannot condone an organization that will hurt people to make their point. It makes them no better than the people running puppy/kitten mills or the people skinning creatures alive in asia.

I object more to the life these poor animals live than the end itself. Most are kept in small cages and not given any kindness at all. In the end they are usually electrocuted so as not to ruin the fur. I feel that we will never be able to convince everyone that they shouldn't wear fur. I do wish however that there would be such a thing as certified humane fur. I already buy certified humane and handled meat..( http://www.certifiedhumane.com/ )...these animals are kept in a stress free environment that closely matches the life they would have otherwise. Chickens are free roaming and even the 'end' is humane and instantaneous. There will always be people who care about nothing else but the way they look...at least if there was such a thing..maybe people would be willing to buy that instead. Then the animals wouldnt have to have such a horrible life from start to finish. I dont object to Eskimos or Native Americans wearing fur...because they utilize the whole animal. The animal's death is appreciated and not over abused. They believe in life and only taking what is needed.

To answer this question, you should look into the past, before the synthetic materials were developed. They were developed only in the comparatively recent past.

It is the general law of the nature, to use wat is available to protect yourself or to feed yourself. Each organism is dependent upon the other. The creator or the nature has made it that way.

But, that was the past, when it was necessary. Now when we have developed better stuff to fullfill the necessity we dont require to use animal fur. The creator or the nature has destined it that way, that we evolve and develop better things for ourselves so as to maintain the balance. If we with our current population were to rely on animals for that, all of them would be extinct, in the process making us extinct as well.

So, the conclusion i am trying to draw is that for necessity it isnt horrible at all, but for the sake of luxury and showing off its outright deplorable. And i would consider such people to have very weak morals.

I agree with you 100%. They have no right to just kill an animal for fur. Animals die every day of tons of things. Why not use the dead animal that died right away instead of killing one. I wonder if they ever thought of that. Probably too hard to find one. Sad. I think it should be illegal. Because on second thought, how would they like it if someone kept them for a few days then killed them for coats which can just be faux fur? My dad's bull Ramses was killed for meat and I feel terrible just talking about it. I hope they both become illegal. But we do like meat so I hope we find a substitute.

The animals aren't using them anymore...
Would you just throw them out and waste them the way unused fertilized ova are discarded even though they could be very useful?

Not if the rest of the animal was used for food. No use letting it go to waste!
