We need to get over this already ... We group ourselves in society everyday (self segregation ),,, Why make a big deal if it is done on TV ...

I think its interesting too, as long as the people who signed up for it knew that they were going to be grouped by ethnicity from the beginning I think its ok. Although it is rather bold, but it is a sign that we've moved forward to a certain extent in race relations that CBS isn't afraid to do it at least--but the only thing I'm afraid of is that it will be used as some sort of proof that one type of people is better than another, or to feed into some stereotypes that certain people are more athletic or equipped to do some activities better. It may be hard to have a true level playing field. All that said, lol, i'm going for the Latinos because I was born in Puerto Rico--¡¡¡ORGULLO BORICUA!!!!

I don't think it's racist. I think it will be very interesting. I also think people might just learn something should they bother to watch it. And I don't believe the contestants will be kept in their own individuals tribes for very long, if this show plays out as the past season have.

i think its irresponsible and backwards. there is nothing good to come of anyone proving that any particular race is stronger or better in the face of survival. survivor has the opportunity to bring people together and instead it is segregating and encouraging new stereotypes. i have watched all of the previous seasons religiously, but will not be supporting this season. i don't think anyone wins this time around. i can see where some people dont think this is a big deal and think it's just "interesting"--but segregation for entertainment purposes for someone who is actually a minority feels pretty insulting and disregards our history and progress.

Interesting that they are doing this and then saying that they are NOT being racist. Yeah, okay.
But, what happens next? I mean, what are they going to do next? Are they going to have a 'Survivor' where all of the contestants are in a wheelchair? Like a Special Olympics Survivor? Like parapaligic men and women to see who is still the "strongest" out of the group?
I would not be surprised if that is the next thing they are going to do.

No, I don't think it's racist. I haven't seen any thing but the ads for it and it looks interesting. I have watched all the survivor shows and love it. I enjoy watching the challanges and look forward to when this new survivor airs.

No. From what I understand, they did it because people were complaining about the lack of minorities in the show.

How would anyone view it as racist? There is nothing racist about what they are doing.
