Could be one of a few things. 1. Virus. Run a check with your Virus application. 2. If it is a all mouse, it may need cleand. There is a "door" of sorts at the bottom of the mouse. Turn it, remove the ball, and clean the little wheels. 3. You need a new mouse. I would suggest an optical mouse as you don't need to worry about cleaning wheels.

See If u hv a optical mouse and problem comes then you have to replace it..
Otherwise if u hv a old mouse with a ball in the bottom... its not a virus nor u need a new one... your mouse is FINE... It just needs some cleaning...
Open the bottom of the mouse.... take the ball out.. clean it clean the portion where the ball was placed... i bet u will find a lot of dust there... just clean it place the ball into its position close the mouse and see it will work fine......
Just clean the rollers....

Sometimes older mice do that, you should get an optical that doesn't have a ball. The ball assembly can collect dust and when it gets too worn out or dirty its much easier just to get a new one. An optical mouse will only set you back about $20, maybe a little more if you get a cordless one, but you can just get a regular optical mouse w/ a cord at walmart or kmart or something.

It most likely is a mouse issue. Try swapping out a different mouse to see if the problem goes away. To subtle for a virus...

If this is one of the old "ball on the bottom" type mouses, it probably needs to have the rollers cleaned!

Try replacing the mouse first. You can pick up a cheap one for just a few bucks.

Try doing a real clean up job on the computer. Run anti-virus as ALL times. Run anti-spy programs and run programs to clean up old unused files and worthless junk.

ok, your mouse could ber old, or wathever, but that doesn't explain the cursor moves by itself, that is spyware... run a program like spybot search and destroy, it's pretty good I heard.
