Horses kind of name themselves and I always try and wait until they are born. (Don't put the cart before the horse),
Since they come from Norway probable a good name would be a Norwegian name like Bjorn or Maple. See if you can look at Thora's lineage and combine names from the sire and dam. I would still wait a week or so after it is born to decide. Your new horse may do something to surprise you and come up with a name all by itself. Color also helps decide it and you won't know that until 4 hoofs are on the ground.

i know someone with two horses, i don't know what there breed is but one is white and one brown. the brown is a boy and white a girl. the boy is called robsta which i think may have once been Robert or something like that. the girl is called ladee. this may be of some help to you or it may be just another answer that you will read through for more ideas and find this answer useless. i hope you will find a good name in the end.

I recon you shouldnt try and name the foal until its been born, then you will most likely find a name will just appear that suits the foals personality and looks.

Gotta go with a scandnavian name! Like Soren, or Oden for a colt. Maybe Annika or Gitta for a filly. Congrats on the baby! I love fjords and their stick up manes!!!

enable's see. My horses call is Bronco, I named him while i replaced into 9. yet i'm in love together with his teach call Olympic Spirit. i think of it suits him extremely properly. My wide-unfold call for a horse (probably interior the destiny) could be Mozart.

You'll want a name with solid character because of the size of the horse. I'd imagine something whimsical just wouldn't fit. A foreign name would sound great, too. Try these website for suggestions...
