divide 4 by 433. 4 goes into 4 once so you would put a 1 above the 4. Next multiply 4 by the 1 and you get 4. Next you would put the 4 that you just got under the 4, then you would subtract. Next you would ask yourself if 4 goes into 3 and it doesn't so you would put a zero on top of the first 3 right next to the 1. Then you would multiply the 4 and 0 to get 0 and you would put a 0 under the first 3 and subtract. That would give you 33. You now need to figure out if 4 can go into 33 and it can but not evenly which is fine. 4 goes into 33 8 times so you would put a 8 on top of the second 3 and multiply the 4 and 8 which would give you a 32. Put the 32 under the 33 and subtract. Now you should have a 1 at the very bottom. So now you would put the 1 on top of the 4 to give you a fraction of 1/4. The answer to this problem is 108 1/4

433/4 = 108.25

0.25 = 1/4, so the answer would be 108 and 1/4
