Please please please help me?!?

Question

I am on the prom committee and we think that we are going to do candyland.. but i need some decorating ideas that goes along with that.. like creative things we could do with that theme. If somebody else has a better idea..please share..we want to be very creative though.

candy land is an awesome theme. make sure to make it really colorful, like the game was. you could make life-size posters of the characters and scenes on the game board and hang them up on the walls, and make centerpieces with lots of pretty candy in them that the guests can eat. Try those big lollipops that are round with swirls of color and are like 8 inches in diameter... that would be really pretty. And for place setting name tags, you could make them look like the game board pieces, maybe. Hope I helped. Good luck!

for lollipops you could always use paper mache and balloons then paint them when done. attach it to a piece of PVC piping. all of which are pretty cheap.
dressing as the characters sounds kinda corny. only so many characters and too many people you would have so many of the same.
if you want to line the path to the prom from outside you can make the characters from the game out of cardboard and place them on the path with gingerbread men and some large candy. it doesn't have to be real candy cause that can be hard to find and expensive. but you can put some lollipops out there and some candy canes.
for gummy drops you can again take a balloon and take a box cut out a circle and place the balloon in there and cut the box to make it run even with the balloon but flat on bottom. paper mache and paint.
candy land sounds like a great idea and it will be fun to make and fun to be there. good luck and have fun.

lifesize cut out of gingerbread men and ladies giant gumdrops made out of foam painted in different colors and glue drops all around them candy canes like they have around christmas time in the yards proped up around the gingerbread people make sure they are smiling tape squares in different color you can use poster boards all around the floor so it looks like a lifesizeed board game this is a cute theme other thems you could try is the wind beneth my wings- a beach them- or famous couples such a s barbie and ken-raggie ann and annie or real couples like romeo and juliet or sampson and dilea or something like that good luck which ever way you go. If you do decide to go on the candy land them the props could be donated to the school for the drama department for plays after the prom is over. This only a suggestion.

Since you are doing Candyland,you could decorate the floor as the Candyland game board and people could come dressed as the characters from the game.

You need life size gingerbread-men and candy canes and the round lolly pops red and white colors and centerpieces with gingerbread-men and candy canes. The walk way they have in the game make an entrance like that for every one to walk into the place make gingerbread girls too. All most like those Christmas stories on tv and they go to candy land.

It sounds fun. what about decorating itb like charlie and the chocolate factory except of having a choc river (for obvious reasons) have a choclate fountain with different candy around it for people to dip in. Have pink and white streamers.

Sounds soooooo fun... Be sure to hang HUGE candy pieces (every kind of candy you can think of) from the ceiling made from cardboard, colorful cellophane, glitter, streamers, etc... The life size gingerbread men is an excellent idea and sooooooooo easy to make with cardboard !! Most of all... have fun with it!! : )

that sounds so awesome. i wish my school was like urs. anywho, you know those candy canes people put out in their yard? maybe you could put those up as a pathway into wherever ur holding the prom. idk. i'm sure whatever u guys do will be so much fun!
