what is the formula to find the area of a triagnle?

-Triangle
a) Given base and height: A = (1/2)bh, in which b is the base and h is the height.

b) Given side, angle, side (SAS): (1/2) ab x sinθ, in which a is one side, b is another side, and θ is the known angle.

c) Given three sides: when s = (a + b + c)/2 (Heron's formula), in which a, b, and c represent the three sides.

The formula is 1/2 * base * height. But instead of thinking of a triangle as half a square, it is more formally, 1/2 of a rectangle (square is a special case of a rectangle, with all sides of equal length).

There is herons formula also: s=(a+b+c)/2 ( where a, b, and c are the three lengths of the triangle. Area = sqrt[ s*(s-a)*(s-b)*(s-c)].
