If the router is installed and working, I don't think you should need the Linksys installation CD. Point your browser to 192.168.1.1 (this should be the default IP address of your Linksys) put in the username and password, default might be admin/linksys or admin/admin for example. If it's running/working now but it's not at 192.168.1.1, on your PC do a start, run, type cmd, click ok and run the ipconfig command and see what your default gateway is, use that ip address.

Once you're in the router interface, click on the wireless tab and make all your settings there. You could also click on Administration and use the restore factory defaults option if you get it really messed up. You can also restore factory defaults by holding in the reset button for something like 30 seconds and rebooting it.

BTW, make sure to turn on wireless encryption, and don't forget to change the default password for the router itself. At least use WEP which gives minimal protection (WEP is easily cracked by someone who has the right software), but it's best to use WPA/WPA2 in "personal" mode for home use and use a decent password or passphrase.
