I am neither Dem. nor Republican so I am just asking what you thik will happen politically. No need to attack me.

I really don't know what is going to happen. It seems that even if you dislike the Republicans, the Democrats are so tied to money, corporations and factions of one sort or another, they are mounting little to no attack, when with Bush's approval rating, if they had guts or even a plan they could easily sweep it all up. I am not sure I want that in all cases, but it seems a mute point because the Dean machine is a joke. Thats my 2 cents.

reereecreek - I am not apathetic I am asking because I want to know what others think. Voting for these two parties is pretty apathetic actually, showing up once in a while and pulling a lever is not democracy.

Most people (even a lot of Republicans) are sick of what's happening in Washington.
What do you think is going to happen?

genuine sparkling politics in showing Republicans identifying on up 8 senate seats. The polls will swing lower back and forth surprising up till election day. i'm hoping some stability of power is restored. i'm hoping our united states of america recovers. i'm having my doubts approximately the two events nonetheless.

It is a good probability. Even here in Indiana, a hotbed for Republicans, 3 seats are becoming a toss-up. Even the district I am in, which has been Rebuplican for a long time, is up for grabs. I still do not who I am going to vote for yet.

I think they'll be shy one seat in the U.S. senate, but the House is looking more and more likely.
Then again, Diebold voting machines may play a factor.
If Democrats gain control, look for raises in the Minimum Wage, heavy increases to Veteran's benefits, and investigatings that are long overdue.
BTW - there are currently 61 Veteran's of the Iraq and Afghanistan wars running as Democrats, and only one running as a Republican. Makes you think doesn't it?

Yes - and you should care who's in there - every day decisions are made by Congress that affect your life in this country one way or another. If you're so apathetic, why ask the question at all?

NO!!! They might pick up 1 or 2 but not the 6 in the Senate nor the 15 in the House.

Only one way to tell - wait till November. Current polling numbers favor the Democrats by 9%, but each race is different. No Republican is running on Bush's "coat tails" this time around - its a kind of political suicide.
