Let's keep this simple. At the Datalink layer we have Layer 2 Ethernet FRAMES, at the Network layer we have Layer 3 IP PACKETS and at the Transport layer we have Layer 4 TCP SEGMENTS. Sometimes the terms packet and datagram are used interchangeably. And often, even by professionals in the field, they use all of these terms frame/packet/datagram/segment interchangeably but that's not technically correct.

All data is transmitted in chunks of data called packets, whether you are using TCP or UDP makes no difference.

1) If you have TCP: Segment

the final enacpsulation is a frame, it surrounds the IP packet which it turn encapsulates the TCP segment.
