if you don't know what a simile is heres an example: "the road was as long as the ocean is deep" or somthin like that, correct me if I'm wrong

A simile is the comparison of two unlike things using the word 'like' or 'as', e.g. an example of a simile would be as big as a bus

As bald as a baby's backside
As much use as a yard of pump water
As welcome as a skunk at a lawn party

(basically it seems like stating the obvious)
