I know many that have last over 20 years. For example my parents have been married over 30 and my grandparents have been married for 63 years. I think it depends on what environment people were brought up in--if your parents divorced it seems like you are more likely to do so.

Mine at almost 21 years. My sister - 26. My brother - 20. Parents - 35 when my dad died. Cousin - 49. Plus a few friends.
Altho in all honesty since we are a bit older than most on this forum - mine is my second marriage. My sister's is also her second and my brother's is his third. Perhaps with age comes understanding and "stick-with-it-ness."

Several. My husband and I have been married for 21 years, my folks for 51 years, my aunt and uncle for 60 years, my friend and her husband for 26 years, my cousin 26 years. Marriage is really hard work, but can the best thing ever if you work at it.

My parents have been married 36 years, but for the most part they are miserable. One of my good friends has been married about 22 years, and I think they are as in love as in the beginning. There's no guarantee.

Enough to know it's possible to live happily ever after... If people get married for the right reasons... they will increase those chances. Today...so many people get married because they think they are in love...but rarely are they. They are in love with the idea of being in love... If they take their time, they will find the right person.

many, many many, but then I'm a bit older than most of you. If you give yourself time to see if first you can be friends, then perhaps not quite so many marriages would end in divorce.

My older brother and myself, my younger sister and brother are both divorced.
Two of my friends are,but another one just got divorced.
I don't know which is worse a lousy marriage or a divorce.
