Well, let's see.
There's the fact that this was the largest coordinated terrorist attack in recorded history.
• It was the largest coordinated terrorist attack that took place on US soil.
• I believe 2,967 people died as a result.
• The media brought it to us right in front of our eyes as it happened, which is a first.
• It essentially changed the country's thoughts and actions about our country's safety regarding our personal freedoms.
• It was the pretense used that got the US into a war - oh, excuse me- "military operation"- that will probably last 20 years, if not longer.
• If none of those ring with her, tell her this- This was not an accident- this was done ON PURPOSE, with malice of forethought. People actually PLANNED, for 3 years, to fly our own airplanes into tall buildings, thus not only killing people who really had nothing to do with running America, but themselves as well. And they knew this. Yeah, it may be 5 years, but this still boggles MY mind.

Well i do not think it is the worst thing that has ever happened in the world. because way more ppl have died in the tsunami, in rwanda and in many other places but you should tell her that 4000+ ppl died and that is very significant because those ppl had families and loves and ect. ask her how she would feel if that was her mom or dad and that makes it significant enough to be honored every year. The way she does not care at all is very offensive.

Ask her how she would feel is any of her family or friends were killed then? I have felt empathy for each family ever since then, and I hope that each person who lost someone will get better over time. Doesn't she care that our country was attacked? It could happen again? If she has no feelings regarding any of this, I really don't know if I would want that kind of person as a friend. I hope this helps.

For all the family and friends who lost people on 9/11 they will care 5 years, 20 years, 100 years into the future. It will impact the world forever. Your friend is insensitive and selfish. Has she never experienced death or loss in her life? I pity her for being so cold and heartless to others suffering.
