My boyfriend has been acting a little weird the past few days, so I asked him calmly this question, "can I ask you a question without getting mad? Do you like another girl?" He said Why, Me, because I don't want you to stay with me if you like someone else. he said "no I don't like another girl, and anyway the girls I want don't like me" That upset me, I didn't want to fight so I just stopped talking, he had to leave for work anyway. What does that mean boys, besides the obvious? Am I stupid for staying, and does that mean if he finds a hotter girl he will leave me, we were together for 2 and a half years now, we live together, hes 27

johny if he would have asked me that question I would have told him no that I am in love with him and it wouldnt matter if i could find someone hotter, because i have been with him for 2 years and that is because I did love him, but now I think I am really starting to know him...........

You feel the "answer" inside of you don't you? It takes a few years to get to really know someone. I get the feeling that you have your answer from the statement: "The girls I want don't like me"...very revealing, this is!

You already know the answer, you're just looking for reassurance. He said, "the girls I want don't like me..." The translation of that statement is "Honey, if I could find someone else that wanted me and I wanted her, I would dump you A**." What do you think would happen if a girl he "wanted," did like him? Say good-bye to your relationship. He's just with you because it's convenient. He's just looking for his next relationship so he can leave you. I've seen it happen, you need to make him aware of your feelings and if he really cares about you, he will admit his shortcomings and work on improving the relationship. If he refuses and says that you're just over-reacting to the comment "the girls I want don't like me," he's lying or is not in touch with his true feelings. If he refuses to work on improving the relationship, the relationship is doomed and you should leave him. It would be the lesser of two evils.

This is, in my opinion, the brutally honest truth.
"Hotter" is irrelevant... does he RESPECT you? Or does he stay with you because you are convenient?
Why would you stay with a guy who wasn't dying to spend the rest of his life with you?
Is the relationship you are in one you would want your daughter to be in?
Is it time you found the RIGHT person?
This is exactly why living together is such a bad idea... you have not made the ultimate commitment and yet you hope for the benefits.
Don't get me wrong, I am not a prude, or even a conservative, this is just common sense

Apparently, he meant he liked someone who didn't want to be with him. And he didn't refer to you. Your question wasn't weird. You were just being upfront and honest with him about how you felt, which is very important for a healthy relationship. But, next time, if you feel he's acting strange, you could ask him a question like.. IS SOMETHING WRONG? HOW IS YOUR JOB GOING? etc etc. You are the only one who could see in his eyes what he was saying and how much he meant it. I know what you're going through right now. I've had the same experience with my ex. And it turned out she was running around on me. God bless, PEACE!!

Sweeheart, I can tell you that you may have answered your own question. If you have to walk on egg shells just to ask him a personal question,he doesn't love you like you want to be loved. I hope you leave him without hurting yourself. Go ahead and go where you are the happiest. He will drift away from you anyway. Go now, don't wait for more hurt .

I think you are jumping on to conclusions, if he liked another girl better than you why would he be sticking around with you. The question that you put to him was a weird one. Just tell me what if instead of you asking him this question he was the one asking you, what would your reply be. Donot mess up your relation on little things like that.

sounds like ur the insecure one, not him. why is it that just becuz someone is a lil off every now & then, the first thing someone thinks is ...are you cheating, do u still love me, do u want someone else.....plzzzzzzzzzzzzzz!!!!!!!..give it a rest already.
