To be honest, watching Schumacher humiliate everyone due to the fact that his team has a secret alliance with the FIA has become boring. The 2005 season was definitely a refreshment, with Renault winning, but I think the FIA has grown scared and they are now trying to push Renault aside to secure Ferrari a "glorious" future.
I hope they'll come back to their senses once MS vanishes from the sport.
I hope F1 will be again as spectacular as many years ago.

I don't know that is is an absolute that he is retiring -- but if he does or when he does -- there will be a void in that sport much like when Michael Jordan left basketball or if Tiger Woods left golf.
Michael has been more dominant than anyone else in any sport -- maybe ever.
It's hard to imagine.
The one saving grace is that with the F1 you have complete countries following and supporting someone -- so it might be possible for the void to be felt less by more people -- the void will still be there, but not as many people will be concerned.

Thank God! Finally, he's considering about retiring at the of the season. You'e right, I'm bored watching him winning race after race. F1 will do just fine without him. It's not like there are no other great drivers. It's time for the young drivers to compete for the title next season.

Yes, it is boring when you watch the same person keep winning the race. One thing for sure, I agree with Flavio Briatore(Renault team boss) that the Italian Grand Prix was fixed to make sure Schumacher win the race. What do you think about that?

Michael Schumaker was extremely overrated, f1 will do just fine without him. Obviously he was considered a hero in the eye of many americans, not because of his racing but because of his 10 million dollar donation to the tsunami effort. He was a good racer, but not legendary.

Well, being a M. S. fan I think it's going to boring at first, the same way basketball wasn't the same after Jordan retired, the first time at least.
But there are plenty of very good pilots in good cars, and that's going to be hot, the fight for the leadership.

Hey,
Well no, it was kinda cool, and he was a lucky guy. I think the F1 could be a little but more intresting, but he was my favourite. You do have a point, it was kind of annoying seeing him win all the time too!
