Check the fuses first. Many times the problem is caused by crud in the switch. Remove and clean it. Then use an ohm meter to test for circuit continuity.

I assume both driver side and passenger side switches are both ineffectual. That suggests it's the motor. I would open the beauty panel and check for power at the motor to be sure. If it's there, replace the motor.

its either the switch or the window motor with are both located in side the door take it to your local repair shop and have it fixed save you the hassel it might be a little pricey but its worth it in the long run
