Well i'm not all that great with fashion... Any tips on what kinda shoes to wear in a typical club? Brands / Styles would be welcome (i'm 21 year old guy) I've only got converse and some trainers / skating shoes. I went to look in a shoe shop today... but as I don't really know what i'm looking for?! someone help please!

It's not the guys im worried about noticing awful shoes. It's if I turned up in a pair of flippers, girls *might* walk away...

Well my first reaction is to tell u to get steel toecaps to protect yourself from all those tottering stilettos!!!! But actually Ben shermans will do u proud sweetie have fun xxx

I think you might be right about the flippers - maybe leave those at home this time. Depends on the type of club - some clubs ban trainers on a friday/saturday night, so in that case you might be best with a simple pair of leather loafers - black, not brown. Loafers are ones you just pull on - no laces. And go for a square-ish/flattened toe. Ideally find a female friend to take you shopping!

Doc Martins can be dressed up or down and come in a variety of colors and styles, and if some one spills a drink or pukes on your shoes, you can just wipe them clean...

It really all depends on what genre the clubs are. But judging by the fact that you wear skate boarding shoes, you should look for Docs... When in doubt, ask a chick!

this would be a guy id find hot:
- converses, all star ones, black and white typically must be clean
-nice jeans, not plain like with rips, G-star ones are great, with some different colours in them or something
-like layering tops, and when guys where like a shirt with a short sleeved t shirt over the top. And when they were black plain ties with t shirts, that kinda cool luk

well, i have been to a few clubs and i have noticed that white is a def NOT in the shoes man. they get totaly messed up. it realy depends on what you are wearing. if you are going casual then rock the skateshoes but if you are tring to look inpressive get some black or brown dress shoes. europen shoes always look good man girls love them. flat toes are good with wide pants and tiped shoes like wingpoints are good with taperd pants. best of luck dude.

Last time I was to the club, people talked so much about clothes and everything that I have now planned to wear my special gear. Hip waders. The ---- Got so deep, that I had to pull my legs out of the stuff, just to leave the joint. Wear Hip Waders.

Just wear anything you are comfortable in for several hours at once. Be careful because some clubs will not let you in if you are wearing trainers.

dont get any shoes that you could go running in i.e nike, adidas
also dont wear rockports as these are banned from many pubs and clubs
a nice black (not shiney) shoe is always ok.

get yourself a black pair of ben shermans, practical for clubs and look good with jeans or suit
