My boyfriend and I have been dating for 8 months now. At first- he was very nice, attractive, and always gentle with me. Then as time passed, whenever I had to meet his friends, I had to be a poster girl. I had to be cute, talk-a-tive, and all that. But, I'm really shy. And he got mad at me because all I could do was say, "hi"... And HE knows that I'm really shy. Then, he stopped caring to say that I was pretty, he doesn't even do it anymore. Now when he promises to go out on a date with me- he's always blowing me off to go do something with his friends. We haven't been on a date in three months! He also tells me that other girls are pretty and he doesn't even say it to me, it makes me feel like I'm ugly- so ugly that he has to slap it in my face. Has he lost interest in me? Should I be the one to let go?

Yes, or decide to talk more. Being shy doesn't mean being rude and looks are nice but the heart holds the beauty! You don't have to jump up on a table and start singing but always make an effort to be approachable. If you haven't went out in three months sounds like the decision has been made. If he is playing games or being hurtful move on, who needs to be treated badly.
Good luck!

Once again, and please do not take this personally but there seems to be too many people out there asking this same question, but Yeah forget about it. Dump him. Move on. Find someone else. If the relationship is offering you nothing, and your miserable...you can be miserable by yourself. Then once you are done being miserable you can find a new boyfriend and be happy. If you are not happy break up with him and move on.

He sounds like he's trying out an immature way to move on. He probably won't come around, and now that you've seen this side of him, are you sure that this relationsip is a good thing for you? So it sounds like you should be the one to go. Good luck!

Yes, but only if you let it!
You need to leave him alone...TODAY!
Move on and don't look back!
He is not the only man left on earth; there are many, many others.
So...until you're really ready to let him go...yes honey, he's going to hurt you a whole lot more!

you deserve to be treated better than this. so FORGIVE YOURSELF and TREAT YOURSELF better by moving on. It will do wonders to your self esteem. you are denying someone who really wants to be with you, the right to be with you becasue you are with this guy.
as long as you are with the wrong guy you will never find the right guy.

Break up with him. U should rather be ignored for who u r than to be liked for who u r not.
