President Ford lost Vietnam in April of 1975. When will President Bush lose Iraq?

Truthfully, the U.S. lost Vietnam in 1968 after the Tet Offensive. This brought down Johnson as President. It was mishandled with the Democrats in charge. After Johnson, Nixon started to pull the troops out, while negotiating with the North Vietnamese for a cease fire. By the time the North Vietnamese violated the cease fire, American troop strength was way down, so it was not really the fault of anyone. If there is any fault, it should lie with Kennedy and Johnson for getting the U.S. involved in the first place. I know you hate Republicans, but saying the Communist victory in Vietnam is a loss for the Republicans is not the same thing as today. The only thing that is similar; Bush has forgotten the errors of Vietnam and getting the U.S. involved in a quagmire.

Democratic congress failed to uphold Gerald Ford's goals. Democrats limited war making powers and failed to support Vietnam. The exact same thing Obama is doing: not upholding Republican's promises. Vietnam was technically a victory anyway, it was basically a whole new war since the Paris Accords ended the war in 1973. In 1975, the North Vietnamese reinvaded, so the two phases can technically be considered two separate wars. And I would like to reiterate that you don't know what you're talking about and democrats are responsible for the fall of the Saigon government. Besides, REPUBLICANS already won the war in Iraq.
You're welcome.

Because President ford just declared that America had won the war and brought the troops home... just like what will eventually happen in Iraq... America will declare they won... and everyone will come home... and leave the middle east in a much worse situation than they found it.

The truth was, though, that the Viet Nam was was lost from the very beginning... just as the war in Iraq is lost and has been lost since the very beginning. It's just time for an adult to say "enough" and bring the troops home.

thinking we may be able to no longer surely pass back and do all of it yet another time, we may be able to no longer understand what would have surpassed off if none of those wars were fought. To my estimation, the in worry-free words reason we were in Vietnam change into to dodge N. Vietnam and China from launching on a clean sequence of attacks for the objective of conquering and for this reason ruling yet another us of a. so a concepts as Afghanistan is worried, we went their initially to locate O. Bin laden, the mastermind behind the attack on the international commerce middle. the yankee human beings needed revenge. Then it grew to change into all about preventing El Queda from training there. Now, who knows why we are there? i do not. We did not locate Osama and El Qieda has merely switched from training in Afghasnistan to training in Pakistan. So can we head there next? so a concepts as Iraq is worried, that change into supposedly for the safe practices of the Iraqui human beings. Saddam change right into a cruel tyrant...even if we helped positioned him in ability thirty years in the previous..we had to take him out. In all honesty, i imagine that change into more beneficial a George Bush ingredient than a secure practices ingredient. even if if Saddam change into advise, that's not as a lot as us to make each and every thing precise with the international. human beings opt to face up for themselves or the peace does no longer stay besides. In different words, our rights had little to do with any of them. even if, in protection of all 3. i do not ever undergo in recommendations listening to a President say we were scuffling with for our rights. We were scuffling with for freedom typically....for different individuals and for this reason ultimately our selves besides.

Democrats in Congress voted to cut off financing the war in Vietnam. Iraq is not Bush's war it's the U.S.'s war. Why do you want the U.S. to lose in Iraq? Are you a Sunni?

You can't fight terrorist with an army. An army can fight an army or destroy a city, but it is a target for terrorist. We can only win against the terrorist if we have all the people working together in neighborhood watches to identify terrorist to the police.
