Koreans will open a business in black areas where others won't due to the theft and crime.
The blacks create the situation.
The Koreans work hard and long and the blacks are jealous of the things they have, but are too lazy and / or stupid to open and operate a business that would benefit their own communities.

Don't be either ignorant or a racist please. Korean people don't usually hire out of their own families. They provide their children with a sense of responsibility and a job to keep them in cash and THEY KNOW WHERE THEY ARE. It also gives them an opportunity to better the lives of the family members they bring in from their country.
If you want a job in a beauty supply store... You need to rethink your future. They have the store, it is theirs, it is their money and their choice to hire from within the family or go outside and trust strangers... But I ask you... With this attitude, why would any one of them consider hiring you or anyone else like you? I would laugh at you if you asked me for a job working my livelihood with your attitude.
What in the hell do you expect considering?
American business is geared and set up to facilitate an obvious need by supply and demand to the public. Maybe all of you who feel this way should all revert back to afro's and stop using their products and going to their stores.
How was THAT comment for ignorant? See how it feels when the shoe is on the other foot? A racist is not just a white person aganst a black person... it is an ignorant perception against another equally ignorant perception as well.
and you KNOW you just threw whitey in there for prosperity sake too! Quit being such a racist PLEASE!

They're not Korean businesses, they're American. The funds stay here, for the most part. Almost all of that money is recirculated into the economy in the following ways:
1). Rent is paid to the owner of the building
2). Replacement stock is ordered through American businesses or through American distribution centers to supply new shoppers with products
3). After their pay is distributed, a portion of all of the proceeds paid to the owners/employees goes into American pockets in the form of: residential rent or mortgages, insurance, financed products like cars, grocery stores, utilities, etc.
4). National and local taxes
Not to mention, everyone saves money when any group of people gets together and creates a self-renewing source of income instead of using public assistance, which plenty of other people already genuinely deserve and need.
Anyway, I think it strengthens local economy for those reasons. It does feel a little foreign, and a portion may go overseas to relatives, but the rest eventually ends up in your pocket anyway.

1) The "white community" is not the American community. If you are an American, then you are part of the American community; black, white, red, orange, yellow, purple, or whatever.
2) Your comment about all Beauty Supply stores are owned by Koreans is pretty ignorant. It may seem like your comment is true in your area. But, the US is big country with a diverse population.

You know, you have a point, if we are the ones going into Beauty Supply stores, we ought to have the inside track for it as well; Koreans are more savvy at seeing the need and supplying it making them earning money from us. I don't think it's altogether crazy, but we as a people need to stop being consumers and invest in businesses of our own.

I choose not to view the world through colored glasses--why does everything have to boil down to some race factor? Koreans and anyone else for that matter can sell whatever they feel they want to sell to whichever demographic they want to. It's called capitalism and thats the beauty of America. Nobody forces anyone to purchase anything from them, and if someone wanted to open a store right next door to them and give them some competition they are more than welcome to. You mentioned going to walmart instead, very good you are turning the capitalistic wheels that have built this nation to what it is.

Actually the correct term would be caucasian. And why can't we just all be Americans. With the 5 year anniversary of 9/11 tomorrow, can't we all just get along???
