What can I do to make them safer? Which one is best?

They're pretty much the most UN-safe way to obtain a file. And chances are whatever gets downloaded will be obtained illegally. It's realy not worth it. All you could do though is get good antivirus and internet security, and hope for the best.

i think they are safer than kazaa but you should have a good antivirus program. they are still very unsafe. I had a laptop for 4 years and in the summer, I installed limewire and i got a virus for the first time ( i'm not sure if the virus came from limewire or not but you should still be careful

i use limewire and it is safe just make sure that when u are done, delete all the songs from ur library and you'll be less likely to get a virus

First of all, you can't make them safer, and second of all no. It depends on the safety of the file.

get an active antivirus software. they are plagued with viruses...
