A great song is one that you hear when you are about seven years old, and then when you turn 30, you still know every lyric.
A good song is usually one that is played constantly on the radio or MTV, hear at 7 forgotten by 9.

A great song is one which will never die, and is always a song which will played by everyone inclding the new generation, like Stairway to Heaven. A song which will continue to be requested on radios, and which you will hear from a teenager's bedroom. But even more importantly it's got musical sense, like a great guitar solo.
A good song is one which rises to fame in an age but may not be so heard of in upcoming generations but will still appeal to a newer generation. Although it will not be as popular but still worth listening to if you're a fan of the genre. Something like for example kashmir by led zeppelin, not their best song and not as popular but fans will like it.

ALL AMERICAN CARL says, great songs are just so great, you can't get over their greatness, they have chemistry, everything in the song works out into a wonderful display of musical artistry. Lamb Of God In Defense of our good name, is a good example.

In my opinion, a great song is a song you want to hear over and over and it is always stuck in your head. and a good song is a song that you like.

A great song reminds you of something in your life and you can relate to it and it takes you back to that place in your life again.A good song gets you up and moving and can cheer you up even if your having a bad day.
