take pictures of it, then send your neighbor a letter stating that you wish for him to leave your fence alone,,make copies of it..explain to him that the fence belongs to you and if he doesn't leave your fence alone that you will call the city..the city will give him a citation and this will also give you some proof if you ever have to go to court over this problem..you can also have your property marked off and this will show him where your property starts and his ends..they will mark it off with stakes..here where im from it cost about $300 to do this unless you know the person then it can be pretty cheap..

Hide a video camera and video tape him doing it. Tell him to put up his own fence, and you will even help him do it. Make absolutely certain that the fence (yours) is on YOUR property first - you might need to hire a surveyor. If he continues to ignore you might have to file charges of criminal damage to property, or sue him for damage to your property. Tell him you want to keep it out of the courts first, but if he doesn't stop you will be forced to take action. Do this with a big strong friend standing by your side, or perhaps a police officer, who might be able to help explain to your neighbor that his behavior is unacceptable. If he still doesn't comply, you have the videotape evidence for court, and it usually convinces a judge pretty fast. If the guy is a total jerk, you might want to consider upgrading the security at your house BEFORE you confront him.

There could be some legal issues here. You own paid for the fence. If it is on a property line he then has half of it.
It is on his part of the property.
I suggest you talk to the Major (if you live in a small town) or city secretary. Maybe the city council. Somebody there can connect you to the proper dept. in a big town.
Then if you have to at least consult with a lawyer, it is usually free.
Take some pictures too maybe lots of them.

Actually, you have a perfect right to remove his junk from your property on your own, and you don't have to give it back anything that's 100% over the line.
I don't recommend doing it all by yourself of course, and especially not without plenty of witnesses. Your neighbor will be angry and probably call the cops. When they show up, show then the survey, and explain that you are clearing junk that has been abandoned on your property.
The cops will probably order the guy to move his stuff, just to make the problem go away. After that if the stuff gets moved back, file a trespassing complaint.

If it's within your property, it doesn't matter that your fence faces him...he's trespassing on, as well as destroying, your property. You need to get in touch with your city building department - they have the authority to stop him from doing this. In addition to contacting the building department...if it were me, I'd also file a claim against him in Small Claims Court for damages.
My husband's afraid to take a stand and anger anyone because of the possible consequences; however, if you refuse (or are afraid) to stand up for yourself, you have no one to blame but yourself when others take advantage of you. Although he doesn't tell me, I know he's glad that I'm not afraid to take the bull by the horns. (one of us has to!) Over the past three years I've saved him thousands of dollars by contacting Consumers Protection about an unscrupulous business and filing a claim with Small Claims Court against a true con artist! That's why we have such authorities to contact...they're there to protect us!
Such a shame when you have neighbors such as you have with this one.

If he's ignoring you, there isn't a lot you can do. I suggest that you have the fence reinforced with helper posts and whatever it needs, but have the work done on his side of the fence.
I wouldn't involve the police or threaten any leagal action, because this guy is going to be your neighbor for a long time. It's just not good to escalate conflict.

He can't...to make any changes to the fence or trying to indirectly destroy it...he has no right b4 he takes your permission..tell him you're not happy and you'll take a action like calling cops for invading privacy by doing all that to the fence which will make it break and make a way to your home...this is enough scary

Definitly call the town zoning commission, they'll come out and resurvey the property. If he still won't stop after he is told the fence is not his, take him to small claims court and make him buy you a new one

Call code administration first... once they do something (IF they do something) then file civil suit for new fence! You will have Code Admin actions to back you up... AKA City on your side filing with city.
