Well it sort of depends. Don't get me wrong 5'9 at age 13 is tall anyway because you will more than likely keep growing. But 5'9 isn't really tall for a man. For a woman it is tall, I think the average American woman is 5'6 1/2. If you're tall remember not to stoop. Hold your head high. Being tall is a good thing if you let it be. Don't look at yourself as a freak. You are in a class of very special people. In the Bible, Saul, David's predecessor was tall and said to be "head and shoulders" above the rest. I am a woman who is a little over 5'5 and I have a female friend at work who is 6'4 and when I need something on a shelf higher than I can reach, yes, of course, I ask her. But its no big deal. When I think of her I don't just see height. I see someone who is good at crafts, very self motivated and self disciplined.

there's no such thing as being too tall, but i must say kid if you really are only 13 and that age, i bet you're the envy of every kid in the locker room--not only are most 13 year old boys smaller than girls their age and they feel insecure about that, but most of them have small ***** still and haven't really begun to develop that way, compared to them ure hung like a horse no doubt, so dont fret, enjoy it-you got the biggest dick in 7th or 8th grade-flaunt it! Its always cool to be the kid that makes everyone else jealous! This isnt the kind of advice you'd get from mister rogers or some weenie like that but this is real life advice! Smile, you got a big dick :) see, dont u feel better already?

*PS-in a few years everyone will have caught up to you and it'll be no big deal so take advantage of it while you can-join the basketball team or something!

Theres no such thing as being too tall man. Lebron James was like 6'4 when he was in 9th grade and he could dunk.

i'm just hoping that your friends grow to that height in time and age so that you dont feel out of place when your around them
a good friend of mine were that tall at your age even taller and now she is with us in height

No. You should have one more growth spurt in which you will grow another 4 to 6 inches. Be proud of your height.

Not at all. My 13 yr old son is 5'11" and two inches taller than me. Much more important than your height is your weight, or height to weight ratio.

I was 5'8' at your age. I haven't changed since then and am not the tallest girl around me now. SO don't worry about it. Don't forget alot of people like taller people!!!
