I say we will lose Iraq in the year 2009. All troops and war supporters will enjoy crow meat that day. Then the walk of shame will start.

Sadly, we have already lost Iraq. And we should get out of Iraq now. It will not matter how long we stay in Iraq; whether it is one day, one year, or five years. The country is in a civil war and the US has not been, and will not be able to get control over it. The sooner the US leaves Iraq, the better - because the longer we occupy Iraq, the more American soldiers will die.

Bush will never admit a mistake, so we're stuck with our Americans in the military being picked off, one-by-one until Bush is replaced.

The US could leave earlier than 2009 (after George W. Bush leaves) IF, AND ONLY IF the Democrats manage to get enough votes to control the House of Representatives in November, AND:

1. The Democrats gain enough seats in the Senate - although this is difficult because of the Republican gerrymandering ("gerrymandering" means the deliberate rearrangement of the boundaries of congressional districts to influence the outcome of elections -- to either concentrate opposition votes into a few districts to gain more seats for the majority in surrounding districts, or to diffuse minority strength across many districts);

2. The electronic voting machines are not manipulated in November to "err to the right" (a BIG "if");

3. The Republican-owned media starts reporting HONESTLY what is going on, which would create a groundswell of opposition to Bush;

OR

4. The Republican party suddenly gains a conscience and remembers that they swore an oath to uphold the United States Constitution and to support the COUNTRY, rather than the despotic President. (Not too likely.)

So, while it is not likely that it will happen, we can hope.

A good first step was that the "mainstream" news media finally released the "official" evidence that Iraq (and Saddam Hussein) HAD NOTHING TO DO WITH 9/11 - and that the "intelligence" Bush/Cheney used to gain support for the war was made up. Thank goodness that the media reported this.

If the Democrats win the congress and then President, it is a sure thing. With cowards like you around, maybe sooner. If we could trow you losers out of the USA and then build up the military to where it should be, then take off the gloves it would be over in about 6 months.

Whenever Bush steps down... that is when someone smarter will step up and stop the Iraq horror.

So you're rooting for the terrorists? Then when they attack us again, you'll blame Bush for not protecting the country.

Why would you want this ?? To lose is to embolden the terrorists. You have no idea of their mentality or culture, do you ?
