there is a circle of guy friends, and in that circle is a guy who was caught cheating on his girlfriend, (caught by his girlfriend). She left him, now this other guy in the circle of friends likes her. But the ex is trying hard to get her back. Is it a messy situation to stay away, or is she fair game?

there´s a non written rule about friendship wich claim thou not date your friends exgrifriends.
I usaully did note follow this rule because i thought was invented by some idiot hoping to get her back.

It sounds like a Soap Opera. Maybe the ex should tie his friend up in his basement and leave him there for about a month or two. Still feed him, of course. Just leave him there so he can get the girl.

Then the girl can fall back in love with her ex and find out he is keeping a deep dark secret. She tries her best to figure out what it is and gets closer to the answer. Then the ex feels there is just way too much stress, since she is going to be finding out about his friend soon, and he goes out and has sex with gf's friend (hopefully not you).

His girlfriend finds out about the friend in the basement and while trying to save him the ex finds her and him together. So then he chains them both up, side by side, in the basement. She is so upset that she actually fell for him again, and now he is just a psycho. So she tells the other guy that she loves him and will not leave him ever again. That... if they ever get out of this situation.... out of this basement... they will have a big beautiful wedding. Vow their love for each other.

What will happen? Will they make it out of the basement or will the ex keep them there forever?

Find out tomorrow on............................ "As the Basement Locks."

She's fair game and the situation is a mess to stay away from. Even if you got with her and tried to keep it from your friend you are all still in such close proximity that it's trouble waiting to happen. Plus you can start getting attached to this girl who may begin going back and forth between you and her ex. That's a hurricane you may not want to stand in.

If the situation was with girls would turn into a massive B*tch fight. Stay away until the ex has got the message that he'll be staying an ex

Go for it!! The guy was a jerk and he should acknowledge it...

You don't need a guy like that as a friend either.

It would be better not to. It can only lead to awkwardness and unneeded drama.
