Depends on your OS. I've used MacInTax for years, and it's fantastic.

Check out the Free File Alliance at the IRS web site. They have quite a few partners that offer free e-filing.
I've used Turbo Tax and H & R Block to prepare my tax return and it didn't cost me anything to e-file. The only time it may cost you, is if you filed your state along with your federal return (I used my state's website and filed free also). You also have the option of getting a RAL (not really worth it) by deducting the fees from your refund.

I've used HR Blocks online program for the past 3 yrs. It's free to use - but you do have to pay to electronically file. Really quite easy to use and has loads of help, when needed. Hope this helps! :)

Turbo Tax, but it's not free if that's what you are looking for.
