Youre a bit mixed up - "Allah Akbar" is not the first letter of the alphabet. "A" is not even the first letter of the arabic alphabet.
Only in America would someone think that the rest of the world uses the Greek alphabet!

I think it might have something to do with the fact that "911" is the standard emergency number in the USA. I also heard that it was supposed to be "World Peace Day" - so much for that. It was done deliberately so that Americans will never forget every time they call 911. The WTC towers where probably also used as targets because they stood out in NYC - they were the tallest buildings in the city at the time so they would have been easy to see for miles away.
