Right now I live in Rock Hill, SC and the movie The Patriot was filmed in Brattonsville which is about 10 miles away. Charlotte, NC which is only 25 miles from here is where they filmed Shallow Hall, Juwanna Mann, Talladega Nights and quite a few others. Also, I lived in Hilton Head, SC when Forrest Gump was filmed in that general area and a couple of my schoolmates got to be extras in that.

Awesome! Great answers so far! Thanks everyone! To Webbley, I do remember Doctor Who although I was still a pretty young kid when the original series finally ended. That was a popular British sci-fi program back in the day, very cool! I've seen a few episodes and did enjoy it!

So this is a weird coincidence, my roomate just got back into town and he was apparently an extra on Friday in a movie called Patriotville. It's being filmed in Chester, SC which is about 25 miles from here and he showed me a photo he took of himseld with the actress Missi Pyle.

I live in Toronto Ontario and there is a scene in Resident Evil where the girl is running sideways on a building. Those buildings are located in Down Town Toronto, just about 15 minutes away from me. But I didn't get to see the hype when the filming was taking place.

Tons! I live in Vancouver. Recent stuff--on our street they filmed 88 Minutes last year with Al Frappacino. The L Word is shot all over the place here downtown where we live.
Just do a search on imdb and it'll spew back a zillion things (mostly complete shite) filmed here from the X-Files to those brutal Fantastic Four and X-Men flicks.

i live in Louisville Ky, the most recent big screen movie shot with in 25 miles of the city was Elizabethtown with Orlando Bloom and Kristen Dunst. Also right here in our city a B grade horror film and a documentary based on Waverly Hills Sanatorium was shot with in the city limits. Waverly Hills has been listed as one of the most haunted places in the US and the world. the documentary was very good. it is out on DVD but you have to order it online.
