is there something that can be put on the inside walls of a freezer to keep the ice from forming?

Just get a frost-free freezer and keep it in working condition. It's 2006 for gosh sakes!!!

There's nothing you can do about it forming. You could try a light coat of cooking spray to keep it from sticking.

If you have a large freezer and you get a lot of ice build up, there might be something wrong with the seal on the door.
