There is a huge issue with this. My husband served in Grenada, and was proud to serve. We are both Republican, yet do not agree with Bush on the war. Will it make us convert? No. R's do more than just want to go to war. There's a lot of money going into small businesses that the Dems would not give, yet give to illegal immigrants and people who keep "pooping out kids". Now. What are us Americans supposed to do when *our* money gets spent on issues by the Dems that we don't agree with?
According to liberals, nothing. We have to suck it up while anyone from farmers to WIC recipients get handouts. Nothing for the middle class.
So if everyone could find a middle ground and concede on certain issues and get along, well wouldn't that be better for all?

Wow John,
That is an interesting assessment of the democrats and liberal stance. Unfortunately, for me, I have became more and more democrat in nature as I have seen this country decline more and more under the "rule" of George Bush. I don't think anyone thinks that a terrorist should run free, bomb innocent people and be permitted to do it time and time again. The thoughts I have on the current regime in office is that they are bad news. It's a group of people led by greed, power, religion, and essentially all the things that are wrong with this world----including what the terrorists are doing. Now, by no means am I saying our government is a bunch of terrorists...but there are a lot of terrible things our government is doing including lying to its citizens.
Our President is a complete moron and an embarassment. We have never been looked upon with such negativity as a country by the rest of the world. We are being led by a war hawk who has no clue what the heck he is doing.
I haven't seen the conservatives respond all that strongly to a "broken" system either in terms of social services and benefits. The Clinton administration in the 90s finally started reforms with workfare instead of a pure welfare system. What has Bush done? Oh yeah let's see---he has cut back money to education, screwed up the economy, and caused the highest real unemployment rate in history...and no, I don't mean pure numbers of people unemployed according to the books because that doesn't count everyone who is without a job.
So, before you want to completely knock the "liberals" for their take on thing, maybe it's time to look at good old Curious George and assess what he has been doing.

Your ignorance is laughable. Democrats are not afraid to go to war. Republicans are the ones who are generally too afraid to fight and too fat to run. Going to war and killing everyone threatening our way of life....sounds more like Hitler and Bin Laden than it does an American.

Way to go. You have succeeded in making it apparent that you have absolutely no capacity for independent thought, and no concern for caring to look into the actual facts of the real world. Sadly, America is filled with people like you, on both sides of the political fence. *Sigh*

Because they're potential votes. Same reason they coddle criminals, illegal aliens and Hillary has even tried to say that children should have the right to vote. Democrats need voters that aren't very smart to continue to have power.

You sound like another one of those who follow Bush's "Blind Allegiance Brigade", don't question anything just repeat what you're told. And by the way I'm a Democrat and I served my time in the military, how about yourself?
