If she has had a headache that long especially if it is cause her to be "lifeless" no energy she should go to the doctor. It sounds like a migrane, but you would want to be sure it is nothing else. See a Doctor plz.

I agree with LisaJ, go to a chiropractor before a medical doctor, pills do not heal they just cover up. She probably has a pinched nerve. And drink water at least a quart a day to start.

it could be from many different things! She should maybe get a catscan. I would suggest the herb feverfew it is for headaches esp migraines to help stop them and prevent them. not expensive either!

could be a migraine or something more severe - she should see a doctor to find out the source of the problem, and to know if she needs a cat scan or just meds.

Stress, lack of water. She needs rest, Flaxseed oil, filtered water to drink (8 glasses a day) and something to balance her hormones (PLUS).

it is obvious she has some blocked energy someplace in her body--go to a chiropractor and get adjusted or a reiki specialist--
it could help
