What's wrong with me? I don't pay attention, I make stupid mistakes, I'm lazy. How can I stop this. I feel like my brain is mush. Is there any way to stop this?

"Gosh soldierpoet6840!
You've used good grammar and asked a relevant question. You capitalized and punctuated well. You've made your points clear and concise.
You've asked what is wrong with you. When I've done that in the past, I simply refused to take responsibility for my actions. It didn't get me anywhere, but, maybe that was what I was after ... A chance to stop the rat-race and lay back for a while. I could always pay attention if I desired to. I could always eliminate mistakes if I cared enough to do so.
You have written that you "feel" like your brain is mush. Are you overlooking something important? I have in the long past.
You have predicated all your questions and statements on "feelings." You clearly state your feelings as the cause for all your problems. Man, whenever I relied on my feelings, instead of an equal measure of thinking and feeling (Jungian), I have had problems that persisted for a while. They caused loss of time during, almost, useless circumspection ... as you have now. You've followed, by asking for help to your dilemmas, a wiser path; however, I've used a professional. Most professionals are prepared, academically and socially to recognize your incipient symtoms and give feedback designed to enable you, in recognition of your binds upon yourself, to heal towards assumptions of responsibility.
I firmly believe you are on your way to a sharper mind!"

Brain is like a muscle, use it or lose it. We have to use or Brains and teach the Brain to think and be aware of it's surroundings. It is actually hard to do, when we can gel in front of the TV being bombard with things to go spend money on. Sort of like a Dairy Cow, eat grass, go to the milk barn twice a day and stand in line to get milked (For or money) then go eat more grass and sleep. Not much thought required. So, We wake up and eat our hay (Breakfast) go to the milk barn (Taxes) come home and eat more hay and sleep. Not much thought involved. Read about Eisenstein, they say he was a genius! Only used about 10% of his brain, should tell people how much us average people use.

Just don't be so hard on yourself first off. Who do you feel this way? Think about it and then look at yourself. You can fix some of these things on your own and then if you still feel this way go talk to a therapist. Good Luck and God Bless!

I don't know what to tell you. Maybe you eat too much sugar and you can't focus. Sorry, that's a lame answer. I really wish I could do more to help you. Mabye find something that will help you feel more focused and feel great and whatnot. Maybe running? I don't know.

I wish you the best of luck!

Do you eat well? Are you on a low-carb diet? Proteins and carbs are important partners, what we eat has an effect on our brain function.

I've heard that males intelligence decreases when spending too much time around females. Of course they like it because their intelligence increases. Sort of like it rubs off of you onto them.
