I am just wondering how long an average period is. Tell me your age, and how long your period lasts, I am just curious if mine is normal. This time it last 2 days. It was tiny spotting 1 night, and then 2 days of heavy bleeding, and the next day it was gone. Tell me please.

Ooh. I'm 15. Mine last from 4-8 days. Big leap I know. But lately.. it's been about 8. Barely there the first 3 days. Then it'll just be normal/moderate.. for about 3 days. And go back to being barely there. With no pain or cramping.. or discomfort at all. It probably changed because I'm eating a lot healthier. But.. you're lucky. 2 days? Wow.

When I started my period (13) it would last maybe 3 days very light maybe a "pantyliner" as opposed to "Pads". It was very light sometimes it would barely be there and I would only know when I "wiped". I would also sometimes skip a month. My doctor told me that it was one of my Ovaries not producing or "working" properly. I went on the pill and I went from 3 days to 4 or 5 using a mini pad. It was light to moderate bleeding then. I am 40 yrs old now and had to have my Ovaries removed. I dont know if it was all related. I do have friends that go or have gone through the same as far as how their periods are and have been told it seems to be the norm.

my age is 46 my period lasts for 7 to 12 days . but when i was a teen my period last 3 to 5 days hope i helped a little.bebop

Girl I wish mine was that quick, I'am 24 and mine lasts about 8 days no joke and I go heavy the whole time. My gyno told me that each period is different with each woman some will have short ones others will have longer ones and there are some women who kinda go back and forth, I don't think you should be concerned but if it is really bothering you contact your doctor, he or she will be able to help better than yahoo answers.
