Your mom isn't saying anything wrong. Sure you may be 13 but you will learn about it sooner than you think. And even though she said that your friends' mom is being a little over - protective. I mean it's not like you're both gonna learn about it in school. Her moms' gonna have to accept that she's getting older and that she's gonna have to eventually want to know about it. Cause that's basically what's gonna happen in the mere future.
It's natural to talk about it. Most kids at this age or so ask about it. It's not like it's gonna hurt to explain a little bit of it. Her mother is just being plain stupid right now cause it's the type of thing that we all learn sooner or later in our lives and whether her mom wants to or not will have to face the facts that her own daughter will learn about it and there's nothing in the world that can stop her from learning it.
Learning about it helps others in the future who do or don't want it to be safe. So, that's basically it. It's part of life. You can't change that. You're growing up.

You are only 13. Maybe your friends mom thinks that your mother was trying to have a conversation about something that they had not covered. Have your mom call hers and find out what words are not allowed in their house and tell them that when your friend is there that these words will not be the topic of conversation. My best friends mom was like that and it was just that she thought that my mom was taking over talking to her about things that she had not done yet. Good luck.

I'm sure your friend has heard worse than the word ( SEX) ~ as long as your mom wasnt telling your friend that sex was ok to be having at age 13... THAN its not your mom, its your friends mom.. so dont worry about it and let it go.. do you have another friend that is allowed over?

Her mom is being over protective. It's a bit late for her mother to be going over the sex conversation with her.

she's overprotective. yup! some parents consider that word a cus word or a sin to even say it. HAHAHA i had a friend like that. And her mom told her she couldn't talk to me because I said that word. And she went back talking to it to her mom what we talkied about at our slumber party and she got pissed off. I was like that's fcuked up to keep her away from stuff like that. she gonna learn about it one way or another. parents are just afraid and don't want to discuss those kind of things like they are ashamed or something. And no your mom isn't wrong for using that word. At least she's open about it. And you guys are 13 years old. I'd say old enough.

Her mom needs to get her head out of the sand and pay attention to the real world.. by your age most people know what sex is or have had it. ( a shame but it happens) She is the one who will wind up a grandma early. So I would tell your friend to talk to the school counselor about her mom.

It seem like a little of both. Maybe her mom wants to be the only one to tell her child about sex. If your mom discusses sex with you then that is her prerogative.

Yes. That is way overprotective. That is crazy. If I didn't let my kids around anyone for saying worse things than sex, then they wouldn't be around anyone. They hear it all at school anyway I'm sure.
