that my top ten are probably:

1) The Blair Witch Project
2) Night of the Living Dead
3) The Exorcist
4) The Shining
5) Dracula
6) Psycho
7) Zombie
8) They Live
9) The Thing
10) Nightmare on Elm Street

I did NOT particularly like Texas Chainsaw Massacre, or other " blood and guts " movies. I think the appeal of the Blair Witch Project is that you never see the witch ----fuels the imagination . . .

Thanks

Try :
The Omen (the original, not the new one)
Rosemary's Baby
The Others
and for a good laugh since you like Zombie movies:
Shaun of the Dead - it's brilliant!!

The Halloween series is in the vein of Nightmare, so you might like it. Jason movies are strictly blood and guts, really.

And there is the emergence of the J-Horror genre, Japanese Horror movie remakes. The Americanized versions (the remakes) are a little dumbed down and have more blood and guts, but that's for the incredibly bad perception that Americans are too dumb to "get" a thriller and need more visually stimulating movies. So check out the Japanese language versions of The Ring, The Grudge and Pulse.

Enjoy!

Try "Haute Tension" (the english version). This movie is really interesting, and a little weird. You'll love it.

Any Stevie King... but also try "The Neighbor", better yet INTENSITY....that one made me very nervous! And I don't get nervous very easily. Hostel was pretty good.... not so much gore...more vaguely shown, but not seeing it made it worse.
