Is it right to deliver babies into this world with so much misery? Is it ok that we risk a bad life for our children? No Bible quotes please. I know it says we should populate the Earth.

A poet said the only excuse for life is happiness... Personally, I think I rather live than not, but can we risk that they'll have a spoilt life and they wo'Nt feel the same way as we do?

If we don't reproduce we leave the world without hope. Don't curse the darkness, turn on a light. Bear children, fill them with love and light and talk to them about the condition of the world, and how they can make a difference, raise them morally. Pour good into the life of a child and your return will be multiplied many times over. If you aren't comfortable bringing new kids into the world, there are certainly enough children in the world who need goodness poured into them, you can make a difference in the world by loving a child.

Its a very individual decision, but personally, I didn't think (during the time I would've been able to reproduce) that its right to bring a child into the world unless you can provide for that child a certain standard of upbringing.

My most important priority is education. I determined I would not bring a child into this world unless I could provide what I consider a proper education, meaning I would have to send the child to a private school, and college afterward. I didn't make enough money fast enough. Another problem I had with it, is the fact that it has become against the law to dicipline your child. People don't seem to understand that a swat on the diaper is NOT the same as child abuse. Third, and finally, there are already 6.5 billion people on this planet. Its too many. Overpopulation is the biggest problem the human race faces, and ALL other problems stem from it. If we don't learn to control our population, nature will do it for us, and I can guarantee no one will like her methods.

On a lighter note, one of the most ridiculous things ever said to me was by a co-worker who, knowing I'm 43 years old, said, "Are you sure you won't change your mind when you get older?" LOL Just goes to show how little thought goes into these things for most people.

Life is a gift but comes with trials and tribulation ups and downs,if we did not have the down times we could never appreciate the beauty that is within life. The balance is necessary.Happiness comes in small moments of joy dispersed across happy moments in our life,we continuously strive to get through the bad for only a brief moment of joy,but indeed a good life is worth living, but a bad life overcome by triumpth is even better!

It is morally OK to reproduce, just not to enjoy doing it.

It is a moral imperative, in most cases.

Sure. Who is going to make it better if you do not pass on your genes and memes?

"Halitosis is better than no breath at all"

Not reproducing is even more immoral, in my opinion anyway
