All fish require the same type of care. It depends only on the size of the tank. Buy a kit with heater, filter and lighted hood and have some fun deciding what type of fish you like most.

Allow me to let you in on a little secret: With goldfish, you'd need to do about twice as many water changes than with other fish. Bettas, unlike what most people say, actually do need a filter and heater; they are tropical fish. So, with that said, I personally think that for a beginner, tetras are some of the easiest to take care of. They are extremely hardy, can survive (most) ammonia spikes in the water, and are really pretty when they're not overly stressed. Tetras would be my first choice for a beginner fish, and then after that, possibly some danios or angels.

Best of luck to you!!!

I think the easiest fish are tetras, guppies and mollies. You'll need atlest a 10 gallon, a filter, heater, gravel, food and water condtioners. Wal-mart sells kits all you need is to add fish. When setting up the tank you'll have to let teh tank cycle. A sucessfull aquarium has a bacteria culture that helps elimnate wastes and harmful ammonia! When you fill the tank with water let it sit for 3 days and slowly add fish 1 or 2 fish a few days apart. The key is 1 gallon to 1 inch of fish.

So, with that stated, i individually think of that for a newbie, tetras are various the least complicated to guard. they're extremely hardy, can proceed to exist (maximum) ammonia spikes interior the water, and are rather fantastically while they do no longer look to be overly under pressure. The easiest pet fish to have in my view is fighter fish. They require only a bowl, they are quite robust, require no frequent water change and more than every thing else they are extremely beautiful. But do remember one thing, Keep only a single fish in a bowl.
Other fishes i suggest are guppies, tetras, sword tails, mollies, carps etc.

dont get a goldfish,if you want a easy fish to take care of without having to buy a new one every month and changing the tank all the time you should get a angel fish.

They're all really about the same care wise. All going to require water changes, the amount depends on the size of your tank and how many fish are in it.
