I dropped my iPod flat on its face the other day and now the screen wont work, everything on it works its just the screen flashes on and I can still hear my music. I just wondered if any of you know what the problem is...the screen is not cracked or smashed. It looks in full working order, just cannot see anything on the screen.

Thanks

I hate to say this, but judging from my experience with ipods and the apple way of fixing things, drop it again.

YES you can. I did it!

DON'T pay someone £80 to do it for you. Buy a screen off of eBay and do it yourself - it is so simple!

All you need are a couple of small screwdrivers and a replcement screen along with ten mins of your time! The screen is a simple plug connection and once the old one is out swap it around and thats you!

I was on a flight when I dropped mine and burst the LCD screen inside - there was a horrible black line right the way through that screwed up viewing any of the menus.

Look into it on the net - there are a lof of good guides if you type in stuff like replacing iPod screen and stuff. Just make sure you order the right screen for your iPod. Any Q's just ask the person thats selling!!!!

SIMPLE AS!

My iPod is like new! (esp. when you polish it using brasso and a cotton wool ball <<<-TIP!!!)

I would to take to an apple store or at least get in contact with them to see what you can do. They are very helpful. I wouldn't mess about with too much though, they are quite delicate and you could do more damage.

try pressing and holding the centre button and play button at the same time to reset your Ipod, this may help. If it doesn't some connection inside may be broke and it may need sent away for repair.

Hun you need to take it back to the shop and forget that you dropped it :), plus if you fiddle with it yourself and you bugger it up a bit more the guarantee will be invalid!

take it to the local Aple store and go to the Expert Bar or if you don't have a Apple store near by then go on http//www.apple.com/support/ and find what you're looking for.

No. the i-pod cannot be fixed unless you send it off to the i-pod company itself
