Are you sad now, that tomorrow the Earth will have circled the sun exactly five times since the 9/11 attack? That is the same question worded in a different way. What is significant about that? Anniversaries don't make sense to me. Will anything special happen tomorrow to make me more sad than usual about 9/11?

Very sad, this anniversary has hit me harder than the others,I think it's because there is so much media for the 5 year mark. I do watch everything on TV about it though. A very sad time!

unhappy... whilst a non-American... the memory of one of the failings I observed on television that day continues to be with the help of far the worst element i've got EVER seen in my life. I left the room weeping and cried for almost an hour. thinking approximately it may nevertheless make me properly up even now. on an identical time nonetheless i'm getting aggravated that the media nevertheless hypes in this and virtually each channel will teach some thing 9/11 appropriate. no longer that they had ever forget approximately, in spite of the fact that it rather is going to likely be rather stressful for survivors and kin individuals of the victims to get any style of closure and circulate on with this consistent media circus of a reminder each twelve months.

I didn't think I would be but I saw a very poignant segment on CBS Sunday morning- this Dad who lost his daughter in the flight that crashed in PA still has her cell phone- still pays the bill, and still calls her and "talks" to her. Put a huge lump in my throat to realize the significant pain that some people still endure as a result of that day 5 years ago.

Yes I am sad. The good thing is that it has strengthened our country and made us more patriotic. It has made us more aware of what is going on around us. It is just so sad that so many people had to die for that to happen.

Yes I am. But we've gone through a lot and a long way in the war against terrorism since then.

well, of course it's very very sad...so this may sound very cruel, but maybe it's time to look at the future and not at the past...Maybe it's better to find a way to prevent these things from happening, then to "relive" them year after year...I think we have to learn from the past, not stay in it...
