How do I care for the wood on my Rainbow Playsystem?

We have had a Rainbow Playsystem (www.rainbowplay.com) for about 3 years now and the wood is very faded. We are thinking about staining it, but can't find information about what to use (or whether we are even supposed to stain it.) Anyone know what I should do?

Use a clear or stained sealer. Find one that is non-toxic and kids may get some in their mouth either on their hands or by licking.

repaint it with a Wood preservative either clear or one that has a stain built into it
