An Endocrinologist. That's a Dr. who specializes in hormone and thyroid imbalances. It sounds like it's probably 1 or the other. Good Luck!

It sounds like Hirsutism (excess hair) which is usually caused by excessive levels of male hormones. Other symptoms are Acne, Irregular Menstural Periods, deeping of Voice, also some meds can cause this such as Birth Control Pills. If it is male hormone related there are some meds out to keep them under control such as a Anti-Androgen. I would start with a Primary Care Physician (MD) you can get some blood test to test the hormone level and start with a cause. Hope this helps :)

A G.P. can do simple blood tests. If you prefer a more natural approach, have a naturalpath test your hormone levels. One other thing to check for, although rare, is something called Stein-Leventhal syndrome, which can cause abnormal hair growth. That can be checked for with the blood test. I have it, and have found that a diet with little sugar and few carbs works the best in lieu of medication.

Depending on your ethnic background, this could be normal. If you also notice hair on your face, similar to a male's, (or if you have irregular periods as well) you should go to a gynecologist or an endocrinologist to be checked for hormonal imbalances. If it is a hormonal imbalance, they would prescribe a birth control pill or some other type of hormonal therapy. I hope this helps!!!!

If your mexican like me that may be normal but if you get hair growing between your breasts or on the back of you shoulders then you may have a hormone imbalance. you could probably just go see a regular doctor about it.

Try a dermatologist. Or your regular doctor. Its probably a hormone fluctuation of some sort that you are dealing with if this is new hair growth.

Unless you have laser hair removal there isn't a thing that can be done about it. I have the same problem. Don't EVER do hormone replacement therapy or anything like that. It's awful and doesn't last more than a few months.
