Okay, so here is the deal. I bought a brand new apple powerbook g4 with mac osx 10 on ebay and the guy forgot to restore it to factory settings. So now I am stuck with all of his passwords and crap. Please help my restore it! I can't find the option anywhere on this computer! MACS ARE SO WEIRD!

I love macs. Macs are amazing. It's just weird to find certain things on here. I have had plenty of macs and I still don't know everything about them. I would choose them anyday over a pc. TRUST ME! And, yes I do have all of the discs. The mac osx discs, the ilife 05 discs, adobe, the restoring discs. Everything came with it. It's as if I bought it new.

Insert your OS X disk and restart the system. When you hear the startup sound, press the "C" key. Here's a link for more info.

Why are Macs wierd? If you would have bought a PC with a bunch of logins and you weren't given the administrative password, you would be stuck with the same thing.

Did you also get the OS restore discs with this computer? If you did, restoring the factory settings is easy. Just reinstall the OS.

If you didn't get the OS discs, then you either need to find some... or consider the lesson learned and never buy something as precious and important as a computer on Ebay ever again.

Boot from the install disk and restore from there.
