No, it's still new clothing. I shop at TJ Maxx, Ross, and Marshalls all the time. What they sell is discounted brand clothing.

Maybe there is an imperfection somewhere, like one dress I have, the label is upside down. I say, who cares? No one can see it, and it doesn't change the dress.

Sometimes the clothing is an older or less popular style, so they get the odd piece that didn't sell in a store, or a weird size that was left over.

Sometimes it's just a label that isn't sold elsewhere. It's a cheaper version of an expensive designer, so it's specifically sold at these stores.

Whatever you get there is new, and in the same condition as any other clothing you buy at another store. You just aren't paying the same price.

Clothes From Ross

Tjmaxx & Ross do not sell used clothes. Tjmaxx carried either pass season clothes from orginal stores. The reason you see their price being cheaper than the mall is b/c most of the Tjmaxx only has 1-2 of the same items. Unlike the stores at the mall. If you can't find it at one store you can also call around for another stores for sizes. Besides that, the stores at the mall is paying more rents therefor they raised their price. and knowing they can do that. On the other hand Ross quality is not as good as tjmaxx. Their brand are not seen as much at the mall. Ross may have their own production mainly Mexico. This is just my guess...
Recently Tjmaxx has been launching AE's clothes but it's last season. You may not be able to tell weather if it's this or last season. So it's worth a trip to tjmaxx.hope this is helpful to you.

Ross Dresses Sale

2016-11-12 07:50:18 · answer #6 · answered by ludden 4 · 0 0

I worked for a company that sold clothes to Ross and the MarMax company, which owns TJMAXX and MARSHALLS. The clothes that they sell are NOT used.

I'll tell you how it all works :)

A major brand like "Roca Wear" will have orders from major department stores around the country. Let's say that they needed to make 100,000 shirts to fill the orders, and they end up making 100,250, they have 250 shirts they need to get rid of. the department stores don't need the extra shirts and the company needs to get rid of them. Since these are "extras" they are pure profit, so they sell them to wholesalers along with all their "irregulars" for a bulk price. That's why all the clothes are sooo inexpensive.

These stores also buy out stores that are liquidating their inventories.

So in short all the products are new, but sometimes the stuff on the "clearance racks" are returns from within the store.

These stores are a get deal for everyone involved, because the clothing companies have a way to make money off their extras and regular people can buy affordable items.

HECK NO!

It's definitely NEW.

I love those places. TJ more than Ross. They are usually there because they didn't sell well in the department stores or they had a surplus of merchandise.

One woman's trash is another woman's treasure.

Do you know the best place to shop for the same prices as those two? Macy's clearence rack during a weekend sale. CHEAP and NICE!

They aren't used. They are clothes that stores didn't sell. You may be able to find some really good stuff there for much cheaper. Once my friend found Calvin Klien jeans at one of those stores. And yes, they probably have Hollister.
