We used to be roommates (a few years ago) & I have since grown apart. I want to let him down easy without hurting his feelings too much.

I am engaged to a wonderful man & this friend & I have never been involved. He is a couple years younger than I am. We were roommates a couple of years ago but since then we have both moved to different cities. I find him really perverted at times & he assumes a lot of things. when I'm on the phone with him I can't get a word in edge wise, so I want to send him a polite email without being too harsh. He starts calling my parents (I haven't lived at home or in the same city as my parents for 6 years) and my friends if he's gone more than 2 weeks without talking to me. He leaves really long drawn out messages on my home phone saying he's just calling to chat & wants to know if I am getting the messages. I don't know what to do! please help :S

Breaking up with someone is never easy, they are bound to get hurt,no matter what you say.I think the least you can do is say it straight to his face....and be as honest and open as you can be,but in a friendly way.And..be understanding towards his feelings, the way he reacts....

You can't really "dump a friend politely", but I'll try to help. Make him see that you don't really have anything in common anymore. Say we hardly see each other anymore, and say you really don't want to see him anymore. GOOD LUCK...

Think of all good he had and continue. If still u want to, u will have to tell him about your interests which does not match with him

Tell him straight out how you feel. If he is your friend then he will understand. Be as polite as possible.
