The land and water used to graze cattle is not worth it. In just a few decades, at current consumption levels, the earth will no longer be able to support all of us. It takes hundreds of gallons of water to get just one pound of meat, and hundreds of pounds of grain. That grain and water could be feeding dozens of people instead of getting just one pound of meat. I know people will not completely stop eating meat, but could you agree to cut back?

You have raised a very good question.

One that very few people are aware of.

When it comes down to starvation, people will eat tree bark and grass if need be.

Then too, there is a lot of methane gas released by the animals as they digest the grain needed to ready them for market. That gas is helping to make holes in the ozone layer.

I think for people to stop eating meat, it has to be a real personal reason as to why. As long as people are saying 'this is going to happen to the earth' or 'this is what happens to the animal' nobody is going to stop to question their own behavior. I'm a vegetarian myself, but I became one for the sake of my health.

Like Ron "Tater Salad" White said;

I have a friend who is a veterian that feels ill from eating beef broth. "I ask you then how healthy can a vegetarian be if BROTH makes them sick?"

and

His vegan friend asked him "What are you doing to make the world a better place when cattle are causing global warming with the gasses in their feces? Ron responded...

"Im eating the cows."

I love Tater Salad...

Of course not. Unless you're the author of all creation, please don't tell me what the Earth will or will not be able to support.
