Your friend probably has everything she wants and needs, money can buy everything that has a price but there's a difference between expensive and special.

If you're after showing her you really care about her and want to give her something really special, make something yourself. Put a lot of time and effort into creating something. The process doesn't have to be expensive but try giving your girl-friend something you can't buy in a store.

You could make a picture, or a sculpture, something she can look at and think of you.

Hope that helps,
froggie

Taking her to lunch is always fun. If you need to hand her an actual gift, think about what she really likes. If she likes art, get her a poster or note cards. Make a CD of her favorite songs. Buy tickets to someplace local...a museum, a ballgame or a regional theater.

Here is where the thoughtful shine. I would give her something romantic and considerate. You can buy her flowers (go to sams club or costco they're beatiful and you will save a lot of money) make her dinner or take her out, a romantic cd, a nice book maybe of exotic pictures of a place she dreams about going to some day, a photo album of the pictures you the both of you (if you have them) and earrings if she likes to wear them. You can get studs for not a lot of money, if you don't know what stone then go by her favorite color and they will go with lots of things. End it with a romantic love letter! Hope that helps, good luck!

Get her an "Experience" gift like Private Dance Lessons or Wine Tasting. They have them at Signature Days. There is also a 10% off coupon for them at http://www.007coupons.com/Gifts---Flowers/SignatureDays-com-Coupons/index.html

You can always go for a walk or down to a lake/river; maybe meet up with some friends of hers for lunch or treat her to a suprise birthday party....

A gift card to her favorite store or a Yankee Candle. Candles are always good.
